The Clay Cart – Oregon Shakespeare Festival

Sudraka’s Mrcchakatika (The Little Clay Cart) is being performed up until November at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.  The director, Bill Rauch, chose to open the festival with this play in line with his goal of introducing audiences to classics beyond the Western canon.  This is the first non-Western classic ever performed at the OSF.
